Locorotondo

Locorotondo owes its name to its perfectly circular plan — an urban rarity that gives the village a unique formal coherence. Perched on a hill in the Itria Valley, its historic centre of white houses with characteristic pointed rooftops — the so-called 'cummerse' — shines under the Apulian sun like a sculpture smoothed by the wind. The white of the walls, the green of the vineyards, and the blue of the horizon merge into a landscape of extraordinary harmony.
